A Special Evening with Two-Time Newbery Medalist Lois Lowry

The Rufus Porter Museum of Art & Ingenuity is excited to welcome world-renowned author — and valued museum member — Lois Lowry for an intimate presentation, A Writer’s Retrospective, on Thursday, August 27th, from 5:00–6:30 p.m.

Over a prolific career spanning more than 50 books, two Newbery Medals, and modern classics such as The Giver and Number the Stars, Lois Lowry has shaped generations of readers. During this special evening at the Rufus Porter Museum’s Graham Center, Lowry will reflect on her half-century literary journey, discuss her creative process, and share personal images and stories from her life.

Attendees will also have an exclusive opportunity to hear about her upcoming book, Building 903, scheduled for release in late September and anticipated to be her final published work.
